Certified laboratories and Approved Testing Devices

ArrowHealth uses laboratories certified by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) and rapid testing devices certified by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Initial screening of the specimen, and confirmatory tests on screened positives, is performed for laboratory testing.

Screening: Enzyme Multiplied Immunoassay Technique (EMIT) This screening test is an initial analytical procedure designed to screen large batches of urine samples for the presence of drugs.

Confirmation Testing: Gas Chromatography / Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) A confirmation test is a follow-up test performed on samples that tested positive by the screening method. the GC/MS procedure is the most sensitive and accurate confirmation test available in the United States.

Certified Medical Review Officer (MRO)

ArrowHealth utilizes Certified Medical Review Officer (MRO) services for fast and accurate review of test results for DOT and Non-DOT regulated companies. All MRO’s used by ArrowHealth are certified by the American Association of Medical Review Officers (AAMRO) and the Medical Review Officer Certification Council (MROCC).

Certified Collection Personnel

ArrowHealth collection personnel are rigorously trained, and certified to perform all collections to Department of Transportation (DOT) standards. These guidelines are considered the "gold standard" in the industry.
