Substances Screening

Drug Testing

The standard 5-panel drug test utilized for regulated industries, and in many cases, non-regulated industries screens for the following substances:

  • Marijuana (THC)
  • Phencyclidine (PCP)
  • Amphetamines/Methamphetamines
  • Opiates
  • Cocaine and Metabolites

ArrowHealth can screen non-regulated employees, patients in treatment, and individuals for the following drugs as required or requested:

  • Ecstasy (MAMP)
  • Methadone
  • Benzodiazepines
  • Barbiturates

Alcohol Testing

Breath Alcohol Testing

For breath alcohol testing, ArrowHealth has selected the Alco-Sensor IV Evidential Breath Testing (EBT) device. The Alco-Sensor IV is a hand-held, portable breath alcohol instrument manufactured by Intoximeters. Alco-Sensor IV is a DOT approved device, specifically accepted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The device has an automatic sampling system and provides the operator with step by step instruction for fail-safe testing. The product is designed for screening and evidential testing environments where accuracy, portability, and dependability are the main concerns.

Breath alcohol testing is the approved alcohol testing method for regulated industries, however it is ideal for non-regulated worksite testing, treatment testing, and individual testing.

Blood Alcohol Testing

ArrowHealth also has the capabilities to perform blood alcohol testing for companies and individuals that require it. Blood alcohol testing is an extremely accurate method of determining the level of alcohol present in an individuals system at the time in question. In some instances non-regulated employers choose this option in post-accident situations. It is also highly applicable for court mandated alcohol testing.

Saliva Alcohol Testing

The QED saliva alcohol test is a technologically advanced device that can be used as an accurate, quantitative measurement device for obtaining blood alcohol levels using a saliva sample. The test can reliably be used in place of blood, urine, or breath testing methods, however we do not recommend its use for workplace testing.

The QED device is a non-invasive test that works through a preset chemical reactive process that requires no user intervention. A color bar rises to the level of alcohol present in the system in much the same way as a mercury thermometer. Results with the QED test generally appear within 2-5 minutes and no special equipment is required.
